How to Avoid every single person from your high school class while back home for Thanksgiving

Home for Thanksgiving? Well join the club! I am actually home year-round now thanks to the pandemic. Anyways, I’m sure you hate seeing people you went to high school with while you’re back in town just as much as I do so I thought I’d share a few tips on how to avoid them for the next few days.

  • Do not go to your local coffee shop, or Dunkin, or Starbucks. Sorry but you will just have to make coffee at home or have an awkward conversation with Jennifer or Ashley while you wait for you peppermint-patty coffee.

  • Do not go to the local bars. Despite being with your family for a week straight and having the urge to drink away all the problems they bring, do it in your room by yourself. This way, you won’t see Alex or Danny who are now presidents of their frats and they’ll then tell you how their frat is not like a regular frat, it’s less douchey.

  • ^^ Bonus- by staying home neither of them will try telling you that if you looked how you did now back in high school, he so “woulda tapped dat”, then proceed and try kissing you.

  • Last tip- Do not contact any of them. Although this seems very obvious, being home with your family for a week straight makes hanging with those old classmates sound like the jackpot, I promise you it’s not.

Now that I have given you some pointers on how to avoid what would be an awkward reunion of sorts, I suggest that you save this article and come back to it in a month for winter break when you gotta do this all over again.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING- FROM THE MIDNIGHT WORLOCK
