Many of you know the iconic show The Office (2005-2013). Well, it will be eleven years next week since episode 12 of season 6 aired for the first time. What episode is it you may ask? Scott’s Tots. In this episode, it is time for Michael to pay up on the decade-old promise he made to many children to pay their college tuition. As we know, Michael does not have the money for it and doesn’t end up paying a single one of those kid’s tuition. Well, for the eleventh-year airdate anniversary, we have tracked down six of Scott’s tots! Unfortunately only two would talk to us. Below are the interviews of the two and us.

Scott Tot 1

Me: Excuse me, you were one of Scott’s Tot’s right?

Scott Tot 1: Yah what about it?

Me: I just wanted to ask you a few questions about your life ever since that day where Michael Scott told you and all of your classmates that he couldn’t pay for your college tuition.

Scott Tot 1: I didn’t go to college because of him, if I ever see him in public he better run the other way.

Scott Tot 1 then walked away.

Scott Tot 2

Me: Thank you for meeting with me. I just have a few questions about your life since the day you found out Michael Scott wasn’t paying for your college tuition. Let’s start with this question: Did you go to college still despite not having the money too?

Scott Tot 2: Yeah I did actually.

Me: And how was that experience?

Scott Tot 2: I worked a full-time job to pay for it and still graduated with a ton of debt.

Me: And has that affected you and your life now?

Scott Tot 2: Umm… yes. I am still in a ton of debt. When I graduated, I owed $59,677.18, and seven years later now I owe $38,345.64. I barely even paid off half of it. I still live with my mom because I can’t move out because the major I chose has a starting salary of $25,000.

Me: What major did you chose and why?

Scott Tot 2: I chose comic strip novels because at the time I chose it I thought if I had my tuition paid for, I should go for something I am interested in. Turns out comic strip novels aren’t worth much, just like my college degree.

Me: Hmm, seems like quite the dilemma, what are your plans for the future?

Scott Tot 2: Paying off my student debt…or faking my own death to get out of it, whatever one happens first is fine with me.

Me: Thank you for your time.
